In the book that I am reading called Things not seen by Andrew Clements there are a few many thing that might seem small at first but once you are able to really get wind of the significance and the real meaning of what it is trying to propose; it will blow you out of the water. For myself I really feel like this book hit home with me mainly because I am able to relate to what goes on throughout the book. Some of which isn't the best but life is life and it is very real. During the book bobby the invisible boy meets a blind girl named Alicia and during this time she tells him how she became blind and what happened because of it. She says that after she became blind all of her friends left her she became invisible and unwanted by others but she had one friend that stayed around to help her. This, though it is sad, is what I can relate to because a similar span of events that have happened to me. When I was in 4th grade up until I was in 6th grade I was tossed aside and put at the bottom of the pile. I was made fun of for my height and constantly called midget and told that you're to small. This stayed with me for quite sometime but now that I am in highschool with a fantastic group of friends I don't let it come back and haunt me anymore.
So when I was reading this book the thought came to me that people like Bobby and people like Alicia are everywhere in daily life today. Although I went through a period in my life that wasn’t exactly a walk in the park there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel. Not only that but others may be able to relate to you and your situation so don’t feel like you are all alone. This can be compared to the book I read Things not seen where bobby thinking he was all by himself with his problem of being invisible to everyone quite literally and finds a blind girl who can relate with his whole ordeal. Even though there are sometimes there is hardship but there is always at least one or two good people help you through the bad things. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and would highly recomend it to people who like a good mystery with a hint of drama it really keeps you thinking.
