Andrew Clement, the proud author of the incredible book Things Not Seen. His purpose of writing this story, was to show how someone can be shy and in this case invisible to others. This indirectly is saying from interpretation, that it can be hard to make friends when one is invisible or unnoticed, but Bobby unbelievably manages to find a real good friend in the midst of his unfortunate situation in Things Not Seen. The friend Bobby meets is a nice young girl by the name of Alicia, but when Bobby notices something different about her, he is shocked to find out that she is in fact blind. So both of them are really not all that different from each other, Alicia can't see other people and Bobby can't be seen by other people.
I was fired a couple of times—they called it “Reduction in Force.” this is what the author of this book Andrew Clements said after he was kicked to the curb and cast away. This here is also similar to the events that transpired in Things Not Seen throughout his book. When bobby gets word that his parents have been involved in a terrible accident, he is devastated, and the fact that he is invisible makes things a whole lot worse. But in spite of his dilemmas bobby pulled through and beat it. This contrasts something very similar to what the author Andrew Clements went through in his life and look where he is now in life, he's better than ever before.
So the next time that you have something bothering you or if something bad has happened to you don't let it get you stuck and out of it. Stand your ground even in the face of fear and uncertainty because if you do, you will thrive and live a good and well earned life that has laid itself right in front of you.
